Eliza Saunders

"They don't give themselves the title of "Evil DM" for nothing!"

Hey there! I'm Eliza, and I've been DMing for over 8 years.

I run roleplay-heavy, theatrical, new-player-friendly, LGBTQ+ inclusive games. I like focusing on the players and letting them lead the game along, telling the story that they want to tell. In my combat, I try to create theatrical, cut-scene-type moments to let the players and their specialties shine.

The players heavily determine the pacing and story, almost like an open-world video game. You take action, and as the world, I respond!

Some things to know about me

What age range is this event for?

Ages 18+

Who is welcome at this event?

EVERYONE! Please be aware that this event is LGBTQIA+ friendly.

If you have a problem with that, this isn't the event for you!

You said this event is "all-inclusive" - what does that mean?

It means that majority of what you need for the weekend will be provided for you!
We'll have a 30x85' play tent (the Balehouse) with large tables and everything you need to play. This area will include a quiet inverter generator to charge your electronics. A section of this massive tent will serve as the "banquet hall" where all your drinks, snacks, and meals will be. All meals, snacks, drinks and primitive campsite space are included with your ticket.

Sounds good. So what should I bring with me then?

Most importantly: your tent and any camping gear you want/need, your camping chair, and anything D&D related you'd like to bring! Don't forget to bring your medicine or any other personal items you may need! There are no shower houses on site, but we do have a pop-up shower tent available for anyone who wishes to use it! Portapotties are on site next to the Balehouse and primitive camping area.

Tell me more about the campsites...

The Park has 3 dedicated tent campsites with picnic tables and fire pits (one is a double-site that can fit 2 full size family tents!) unlimited rustic sites (pick your own!), plus 11 primitive RV sites to choose from... Site map below!

What about restrooms and showers?

Two port-a-potties will be onsite for the groups use. A portable shower setup is provided on site for all players who wish to use them!

How many people will be joining?

We have a maximum of 32 players for this event. Players will be split into groups of 8 or less for each DM.

Are pets allowed?

Well behaved dogs or service animals are welcome! Just please be sure to clean up after them!

What about kids?
Unfortunately this event is ages 18+ only, so please leave the kiddos with the grandparents to have their own fun this weekend!

What if the weather gets bad?

This event is RAIN OR SHINE. The Balehouse is fully enclosed and can keep you safe and dry for the duration! If truly severe weather occurs, we have a safety plan in place that we will cover with you when you arrive if it looks like bad weather is forecast.

It says non-alcoholic event. Does that mean I can't drink?

Our D&D camp is officially non-alcoholic—we won’t be providing any potions of intoxication. That said, if you'd like to bring a flask of your own... we won't cast Detect Spirits. Just keep it classy and don’t turn the campsite into a full-blown tavern.

How bout cell service?

Yep, there's full cell coverage for Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular at Ferrum Park.

Ok, ok- but the really important part: What's for dinner?!

View the menu HERE.

What happens after I register?

You'll receive a welcome email with a registration form to complete, along with a link to a Discord server specifically for the camp so that players can get to know each other before camp begins, and stay connected once camp is over! A week prior to camp, you'll receive another email with all the details you'll need to know to make sure you have an awesome experience at camp!
